Pyrolusite Specimens

Discover the strange, ancient stone of Pyrolusite. One of the earliest stones used by humans. this enchanting mineral was found at Neandertal sites and was thought to be used to create cave paintings and start fires. Its name is from the Greek for fire and to wash, in reference to its use as a way to remove tints from glass.
